The Coastline College Scholarship for Injured/Disabled Service Members and their Spouses

What is it?
Five $1000 scholarships are available each year for severely injured service members and their spouses to use in their academic pursuits at Coastline Community College.

Who is eligible?
Any service member who has been severely injured while in the line of duty as well as his/her spouse is eligible for this scholarship.

How and when should you apply?
Complete the Scholarship Application Form and FAX to 714-241-6324.

There are five eight-week sessions each year, two in the spring, one in the summer, and two in the fall. Applications will be reviewed December 15, February 15, April 15, July 15 and September 15 of each year. Scholarship recipients will be notified two weeks after the submission deadline. Scholarship funds may be used for Coastline classes and course materials in the next term, or in subsequent terms.

What are the selection criteria?
Scholarship recipients shall be selected primarily on the financial need of the applicant. Other considerations will include academic achievement to date (if any), and the content and quality of the application essay.
