DEGREE OBJECTIVE - To provide an Associate in Arts Degree with a major or an area of emphasis. Depending on a servicemember's Rating/MOS and rank, ACE recommended credit may fulfill the credit hour requirements toward a specific major, emphasis, or other degree requirements. Coastline awards credit hours for military training and experience, up to a maximum of 40, according to ACE recommended guidelines. This degree program provides the academic foundation for transfer to a bachelor's degree program at a four-year institution.

Note 1: Completion of two years of high school algebra with "C" or better, or passing college intermediate algebra or higher with "C" or better, or placing into MATH C100 on Coastline's Math Placement Test.

Note 2: Any course marked with an asterisk (“*”) in either Arts & Humanities or Social Sciences will satisfy the Global/Multicultural Requirement.

Note 3: Up to 40 semester hours (sh) can be awarded for military credit from the SMART transcript. The remaining 20 sh for the degree must be actual college courses. (12sh must be with Coastline to satisfy residency)
