Option III requires completion of at
least 37 units of general education courses, to include the specific requirements listed
in Areas 1 through 6 plus major and/or elective units (number 100-299) to total 60 units.
The IGETC must be completed in its entirety. Students not finishing the complete program
before transfer will be subject to the requirements of the school or college of the campus
to which they have been admitted. All courses must be completed with a grade of
"C" or better. CLEP/DANTES test scores will not count for the associate
in arts degree under Options II or III., nor will not count toward CSU or IGETC
certification. Military schooling and experience may not count toward elective units at
some four year institutions. It is always recommended that you check with the transferring
institution. A minimum of 60 transferable units is needed for junior status.
