A message for new students applying for admission to Coastline's Distance Learning Program for Military Personnel
The California Community College System offers an Open Admission Policy

CONTINUING STUDENTS:
This application process is for new students only. Continuing and Returning Students do NOT need to re-apply for admissions. If it has been more than two semesters since you have taken classes at Coastline, you need to reapply and should proceed with completing this application. Otherwise, proceed to http://military.coastline.edu and log in to your MyCCC account to access the online class schedule and to register for your courses.

NEW STUDENTS:

  • All New Students must apply for Admission. Please read this entire document which provides important information about the process. Most important, you will need to enter the code MIL1 on the Supplemental page of the application which is your 4-digit program admission designator.
  • NO Application FEES are charged for a California Community College admission application. Tuition will be calculated at the time you make your course selections online at the military website.

E-MAIL:
You must provide an e-mail address in order to submit an application online. However, new in the Spring 08, all students will also receive a Coast District email address upon our acceptance of your application which will be the primary email utilized for communication between the college and you. More information will be provided to you upon acceptance. You will receive an e-mail receipt confirming your application has been received.

Important Reminder

As a student enrolling in the Military Program at Coastline, please remember to enter the code MIL1 in the 'Special Programs' box located on the 'Supplemental Questions' page of the online application. Once you have completed the application and entered your code, click the 'SUBMIT' button located on the left column to submit the application.

NAVIGATION TIPS FOR ONLINE APPLICATION:

  • Simply type your answers in the corresponding fields or select your answers from the pop-up lists (where provided).
  • After you complete a screen, click the 'Next' button at the bottom or on one of the sections listed on the left column to move to a different screen. Before you are allowed to jump screens, we will inspect your data on the current screen for errors or inconsistencies. If errors or omissions are found, you will be returned to the screen to correct your answer(s). Otherwise, your data will be saved and you will proceed to the requested screen. We also allow you to skip to another screen without your new data being saved. Be aware that if you used the 'Skip & Jump' function on the left column, data on the current screen will not be saved and will have to be re-entered prior to submittal.
  • After you are finished completing the application, click the SUBMIT button located on the left column of the application and follow the subsequent directions that will be provided.
