"1 Carat" Incentive Program:
Students will receive a Course Completion Incentive valued from $50 to $250 if the following criteria are met:
- The student must complete a GEM Plan with Coastline that demonstrates all the general education courses needed to complete his/her CCAF AAS Degree.
- All courses identified on the GEM Plan must be taken at Coastline and successfully completed within allotted time-frame.
- The number of courses in GEM plan corresponds with the number of sessions within which a student must complete the GEM plan.
- A Withdrawal for military reasons will not count against this goal.
- Upon achieving 100% completion of their GEM Plan at Coastline, the student will be eligible to receive an incentive scholarship equal to $50 for every course completed on the GEM Plan.
- Upon completing their GEM Plan and receiving their final grade, the student must submit the "1 Carat" Incentive Scholarship Application to Coastline for review and approval. A student has 60 days in which to submit the form.
Example: If an Airmen has five (5) courses identified on their GEM plan as needed to complete the general education component of their AAS Degree, a 1 Carat Incentive of $250 may be achieved if the Airmen completes all five (5) courses successfully at Coastline Community College no later than five sessions after beginning their GEM plan at Coastline.
