TEXTBOOK VOUCHER FAQ's

- Do I qualify for a Textbook Voucher if I am enrolled in PocketEd/PDA or NCPACE courses?
NCPACE, Coast Guard Afloat and PDA courses do not qualify for the Textbook Voucher program. The Textbook incentive program is only available to students enrolled in online classes offered through Coastline's Military Programs.
- When will I receive my Textbook Voucher?
Vouchers will be issued approximately 2-3 weeks before the Session start date. Textbook Vouchers will be emailed to students who have submitted payment (by Tuition Assistance, Credit Card, etc) by the published "Submit Payment" deadline (see Academic Calendar). All deadlines are strictly enforced.
- I did not pay for my courses in time, or I was dropped for non-payment. Am I still able to participate in the Textbook Voucher Program?
Military Program Students are required to comply with the deadlines posted on the Academic Calendar to participate in the Textbook Voucher incentive. Please check the Academic Calendar for the next enrollment period.
- I already paid for my classes and live internationally. Will I have enough to time to order and receive my books?
Textbook Vouchers are issued 2-3 weeks before the course start date. It is highly recommended that students living abroad order their course materials as soon as the voucher is issued to ensure that their materials arrive in a timely manner. If course materials do not arrive before the course start date, students should notify their instructor(s) immediately so that the student may be accommodated accordingly.
- How do I sign into MYCCC to obtain my Textbook Voucher?
All students who participate in the Textbook Voucher Program are required to sign into their MYCCC accounts and access their student email accounts in order to receive the Textbook Voucher. This is set up for security purposes, and to verify the identity of the student receiving the voucher. If a student is unable to log into their MyCCC account, additional information may be found here. If a student is experiencing problems signing into their MyCCC account, the student may contact the Military Admissions office during business hours, at (866)422-2645, press option 3. After hours, a student may contact the Technical Help Desk at (866)784-4222 to have their password reset. The Military Programs student will need their Coastline Student ID number ready when speaking to the Technical Help Desk.
- Can I have the Textbook Voucher forwarded to another email account?
Once you are successfully logged into your MyCCC account, you may forward your MyCCC student email to your personal email account. For instructions click here. (pdf)
- Will the Textbook Voucher cover the cost of shipping?
Military Programs students are required to submit payment for the costs of shipping & handling. Ground, UPS 2nd Day & UPS Next Day Air shipping options are available in select locations, and Priority Mail is recommended for students who ship to an APO/FPO address. Further questions about shipping can be directed to MBS at vb@mbsbooks.com or call (800)325-3252. Students living internationally should dial direct at (573)441-9179.
- When I enter my Textbook Voucher code, it is saying that it is "invalid." What does this mean?
The MBS website is case-sensitive. We highly recommend that students copy and paste the Voucher ID Number from the email into the correct field on the MBS Bookstore Website. When entering their student ID, students need to place the "C" before the ID number (EX: C02021111). Students who continue to have problems after correctly entering the student ID and voucher code should contact MBS to place an order over the phone, (800)325-3252, or (573)441-9179.
Be prepared to inform MBS of the following:
- You are a participant in Coastline's Military Program (designate if you are a Military Spouse, or Onshore/Partnership student, GEM, etc).
- Your Coastline Student ID number (with the "C" before the number)
- Your enrolled courses. It is recommended that you refer to your course schedule to verify enrollment prior to ordering your course materials online.
- I completed my Textbook Voucher order on the MBS website, but I received a cancellation email shortly thereafter. Why was my order cancelled?
This problem typically occurs when a student has incorrectly entered their credit card information, including the 3-digit code on the back of the card (on the signature strip). Students who continue to experience this problem should contact MBS immediately at (800)325-3252, or vb@mbsbooks.com
- I made the decision to drop my course and have done so in MyCCC (or GoArmyEd by Army students). What is the policy when the course materials were purchased with the Textbook Voucher?

- I did not order my course materials within the Voucher time limit. What do I do if my textbook voucher has expired?
We impose an expiration date on all Textbook Vouchers at midnight, the morning of the course start date. We enforce this deadline to ensure that our students have their course materials within the first day of class. We understand that accidents happen, but your success is important to us. In this instance, we recommend that the student drop the course by the Course Refund deadline. Please refer to the Academic Calendar for Refund deadlines.
- I finished my course with Coastline. What do I do with my textbooks?
Once you have finished your course, the materials are yours! We also recommend to our students that they donate their course materials to their local Education Centers on base or to other military students who are enrolled in Coastline and cannot afford the materials.
