Dependent Spouses Program Eligibility

Eligibility Criteria

  • Military dependent spouses and dependent family members of active duty service members are eligible for this program. Active duty service members are not eligible for this program.
     
  • Must be 18 years old or have earned a GED or High School Diploma.
     
  • Must possess a Military Dependent ID that is valid as of course start date.
     
  • New students should submit eligibility documentation at the time of application to Coastline so that eligibility can be verified prior to the registration deadline.

Eligibility Submission Instructions

Length of Eligibility

  • Eligibility will remain in effect for one year (3 consecutive terms).
     
  • Upon the expiration of program eligibility, Coastline will send a notice to students in need of renewing their eligibility. Students may either submit a new Spouses Program Eligibility Form or a MyCAA Financial Assistance Approval to the college to renew their eligibility. MyCAA participants will automatically re-qualify for the program.

Enrollment and Payment Reminder

  • Enrollment is limited to 9 credit/semester hours per 8-week session. Students who wish to take more than 9 credit/semester hours must submit a Petition for Overload (pdf).
     
  • Tuition payment must be paid to Coastline by the deadline date posted on the Academic Calendar.

Program Limitations

  • Although dependents may take PDA courses or any other courses offered at Coastline, special tuition rates or textbook offers do not apply.
     
  • CST courses have an additional course fee of $213 per class.
