Student
Policies and Obligations
As a
student in the Coastline Community College PocketEd program
you will be required to read and agree to the following:
- Read
and understand the Steps to
Register.
- The
student is responsibility to adhere to all registration and
course deadlines.
- Classes
begin the 1st of each month from February to November.
Registration deadline is one month prior to course start-date.
- Each
course is designed to be completed in 12 weeks.
- In
order to drop a course and receive a full tuition refund,
a drop must be submitted through GoArmyEd no later than
the 6th day of class start-date, and the PocketPC must
be returned to Coastline Community College.
- Devote
at least 9 hours of study per week, per each 3 credit course.
- Purchase
textbooks separately through MBS

- It
is the student’s responsibility to communicate with
a proctor when ready to take course exams, follow all rules
for exam proctoring, and to adhere to the college’s
Academic Honesty Policy which can be reviewed on the Coastline
Military Website: http://military.coastline.edu, under Honesty
Policy.
- Provide
completed quiz Scantrons to the proctor, who will then return
them to the college with all completed course work.
- The
PocketPC will be mailed to the student once registration has
been approved; this will include PocketPC, case, and charger.
The PocketPC and supporting equipment does not become the
student’s property until after completing one course
with Coastline. A second PocketPC will NOT be provided if
student enrolls in a subsequent course from Coastline. The
SD card and all its content shall always remain the property
of Coastline Community College.
- It
is the student’s responsibility to use the SD card only
with the provided PocketPC. PocketPC’s are equipped
with appropriate plug-ins and PocketPC versions of software
to run with the compatible SD card containing the course materials.
The student will return the SD course card to Coastline after
completion of the course. If the SD course card is lost or
damaged, the student will be responsible for replacement costs
of $60. A grade will not be released until the respective
SD course card has been received by Coastline.
- It
is the student’s responsibility to contact Coastline’s
technical support group if experiencing any difficulties using
the PocketPC. They can be reached at (714) 241-6233.
Please
locate “The Student Policies and Obligation
Form” to complete and return for admission approval
along with any other needed forms.
