Apply/Register

PocketEd classes begin the 1st of each month from February through November. Check Term Date for registration deadline.

**Active Army Soldiers, see note below.

Step 1: Apply to Coastline

New students and students who have not taken courses in 2 or more terms, must re-apply by completing the online application.
If you are presently taking a course or completed a course last semester, skip to Step 2.
Don't forget to enter "MIL1" in the supplemental page of the application, which will indicate your participation in one of our military programs.

Step 2: Complete the Online PDA Registration form.

Step 3: Pay for your course(s) by the registration deadline

Tuition rate for the PocketEd program is $223 per credit hour.
Tuition Assistance (TA) applications may be obtained from your Base or Post Education Office. Coastline's Institutional Code is 1122A for Navy and Marine Corps Education.
Veterans or GI Bill Benefits: Veterans who plan to use the Montgomery GI Bill are required to pay the full cost of enrollment at the time of registration. For information concerning VA Benefits, visit www.gibill.va.gov or call Coastline's Veteran's Office at (714) 241-6325.
Students paying by credit card will do so through their MyCCC account. Please email CCCMobile@coastline.edu if you plan on paying by credit card.

Step 4: Identify a Proctor

Student must locate a proctor who is willing and qualified to administer an exam in a secure location. Proctors must meet the following criteria to be approved to administer a test.
1. Be one of the following:
  - Military Testing Official
  - Educational Officer
  - Teacher
  - Librarian
  - Principal
  - Coastline College designated testing official
  - Other accommodations can be made for students deployed or in remote locations; contact our offices for other options.
2. Cannot be a current Coastline student
3. Cannot be a relative of the student
4. Cannot reside at the same address as the student
Complete and submit Proctor Agreement Form

Step 5: Purchase course materials using Textbook Voucher

$50 Textbooks now available to PDA students starting May 1, 2011.
Textbook Vouchers will be issued at the end of the registration period. All PocketEd courses require at least one textbook.
Use the PDA Program Booklist to purchase correct textbook.

**All Active Army students must first apply and register through GoArmyEd. After you register for your course through GoArmyEd you will then complete steps 2, 4, and 5. Do not apply to the college through the online application with CCC; your application will come from GoArmyEd and be manually entered by CCC's Admissions Department.
